- Providing a constructive approach to poor performing dentists acceptable to their registration body.

The Medical Protection Society (MPS) is a membership-based organisation, which, at its discretion, grants indemnities to registered dentists (and doctors) to provide protection and assistance when they are summoned before tribunals, regulatory body enquiries or sued for malpractice.
An adviser to the MPS Michael needed understanding and empathy for the work, which mainly involved dealing with dentists or solicitors and, on occasions, patients/plaintiffs in person. Additionally he lectured widely on dental, legal and ethical issues, in both the United Kingdom and internationally, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
