2014 - Current Director of Mediated Dispute Solutions Ltd
Mediated Dispute Solutions has recently been established to offer a bespoke mediation service.

  • Mediated dispute solutions for civil & commercial claims: It is particularly relevant to those claims that have already been registered in the County or High Court.
  • Small business mediation: Mediated solutions for small businesses with particular emphasis on pre-claim solutions.
  • Family mediation: A private and personal service to support resolution of child arrangements and financial disputes during family breakdowns or to support resolution of intergenerational conflict.

2001–2006 Non-Executive Director Redbridge Primary Care Trust (PCT)

  • Non-Executive Director (NED) and board member of Redbridge PCT.
  • Contributed to the development of strategy and constructively challenged the health and care services provided for the local area.
  • Chair of the Risk Management Committee, engaged in the scrutiny of the performance of the Trust, ensured the systems of risk management were effective.
  • Member of the Clinical Governance and Controls Assurance Committee, assessed the accuracy of information provided by the executive.
  • Vice Chair of Advisory Committee of the Children’s Trust (a body created with the Local Authority), ensured services were effectively provided for the benefit of local children.
  • A member of the Audit Committee, monitored the governance of the PCT.
  • Other roles included, member of the Advisory Committee for Health and Social Care, PCT Finance Committee member and PCT member of the Redbridge Children’s Strategy Board.

  • Governor and Chair of Governors (1998 – 2006), led the overall strategic direction, focus and priorities of the School, managed the power and authority of the governing body.
  • Established and maintained a partnership with the head teacher. Held him to account for the operational running of the School.
  • Successfully challenged and supported the School out of Ofsted imposed special measures. Harnessed the efficiency and effectiveness of the school's monitoring systems.
  • Led the improvement of education for pupils and standard of behaviour.
  • Led the process to appoint a new head teacher and managed the removal of staff on competence grounds.
  • Communicated vision and ethos of projects successfully bringing the School together towards a common goal. Engaged in a collaborative style and encouraged all members to take roles and be accountable.
